San Felipe, La Guaira, Caracas, Caraballeda, Catia La Mar, Los Corales, Macuto and Valencia. Buildings collapsed in a similar way after years of warnings about weak construction, seismic-code failures, corruption risk and vulnerable towers. Faults involved include the Boconó Fault, San Sebastián Fault and El Pilar Fault on the Caribbean Plate–South American Plate boundary.
