Gospel superstar Marvin Sapp is shopping a new reality series featuring his family.
The show, “Marvin Sapp: Single Dad” was shot by Open River Pictures and offers viewers an intimate look inside the Grammy-winning gospel singer/preacher’s life after the death of his wife, MaLinda Sapp.
Sapp’s wife passed in September 2010 after a battle with stomach cancer. The couple has three children – a son, Marvin “ML” Sapp II, and two daughters, MiKaila, and Madisson.
The reality series aims to capture the 45-year-old man of faith balancing his ministry work, a thriving music career and his most challenging task, being a single father.
Sapp, who released his ninth CD, “I Win” on April 3, 2012, is gearing up for the upcoming “The King’s Men” tour with Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin and Israel Houghton. That tour kicks off on Sept. 16 in Phoenix, Ariz.
He’s also the pastor and founder of the Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, Mich.
