In today’s Sabbath lesson, we are going into the blowing of the trumpets and what the sound of the trumpet meant to the children of Israel.
Numbers 10:2–3 shows us that YAHUAH commanded Moses to make trumpets for “the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.”
That means when the trumpet sounded, Israel was supposed to recognize the sound, respond to the call, assemble together, and move according to YAHUAH’s order.
As we prepare to transition into the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), this lesson is especially important.
The Feast is not simply a gathering, a vacation, or a family reunion. These are YAHUAH’s appointed times. When we come before Him, we should come with reverence, obedience, humility, love, and ORDER.
📖 Leviticus 23:2 — “Concerning the feasts of YAHUAH, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.”
There is a spiritual message in the trumpet:
📯 The trumpet calls us.🏕️ Tabernacles gathers us.📖 The Torah instructs us.👑 YAHUAH establishes the order.
When Israel came together in the wilderness, everybody could not simply do what was right in his own eyes. There was an order to the camp. There was an order to the assembly. There was an order to worship. And there was an order to how Israel approached the presence of the Most High.
As we prepare for Tabernacles, we must ask ourselves:
Can I hear the trumpet, but refuse the instructions that come after the sound?
The trumpet may get our attention, but obedience is what demonstrates that we truly heard the call.
This Sabbath we will examine:
• Why YAHUAH commanded Israel to blow the trumpets• The trumpet as a call to assemble and prepare• The difference between merely attending a Feast and keeping it in obedience• Why YAHUAH requires order among His people• How Israel camped in order around the Tabernacle• Respecting leadership, one another, families, and the assembly• Preparing ourselves spiritually for Tabernacles• Why Feast Days should demonstrate unity rather than confusion• How the wilderness prepares us for the greater gathering of Israel
📖 1 Corinthians 14:40“Let all things be done decently and in order.”
Family, when that trumpet sounds, it is time for Israel to GET IN POSITION.
