During this season, many will attempt to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus without fully understanding what it means to be saved. The modern day, seeker friendly take on salvation is being tested right now by the COVID19 crisis. Many do not feel they are saved and are struggling to have the faith they need in this hour. Many are ill prepared because they have not been taught properly. But Christ’s redemptive work is more than just an event to be celebrated. It is THE event that needs reverence and acceptance deep enough into the heart to change a persons behaviors and motives. This is true salvation. Jesus must change us in order for us to have the faith to believe in these uncertain times. Without change, we have no proof that our faith can build upon. It’s time to forsake sin and our own way for His. The closer the Lords return is, the closer we must be to Him.
